Cuelists monitor in softdek empty when loading a project

We proudly present: The release of DMXControl 3.3.3!

On September 29, 2026, we held our release show for DMXControl 3.3.3. During our usual “hour-long” session, we showed you all the new features in this version and what it now has to offer.
Read all about it in the corresponding news article: We proudly present: The release of DMXControl 3.3.3!

  • As with DMXcontrol 3.2 when loading a project cuelists show up empty.

In 3.2 a workaround is to make the project the default project.

In v 3.3 the same issue exits. Is there a workaround to make something like a default project in 3.3? So that the cuelists show up filled.

  • Have noch looked into the project yet, but is the cuelist in the cuelist editor empty or does this issue occur in the softdesk? Are there any warnings / errors in the Kernel or GUI log?

  • It is in Softdesk.

When you load a project and go to the softdesk the cuellists show up empty.

The only way i found to overcome this is to copy the saved zip file en rename it to defaultproject.zip

With the 3.3 RC version the issue is the same. But the files are kept in project administration. A workaround to create a default project is then maybe not possible anymore.

  • Ah... here is a known bug inside the cuelist monitor.

We have also for DMXControl 3.3.0 currently only the following workaround:

Das Problem ist, dass das Softdesk beim Laden vom Projekt die IDs nicht bekommt. Ich helfe mir damit, dass ich beim Start immer kurzzeitig im Input Assignment z.b. ne "0" an den Cuelist Monitor schicke und danach wieder die IDs (z.b. mit dem Input selector)

Translated to English: The problem is that the softdesk doesn't get the IDs when loading the project. I help myself by always sending "0" to the cuelist monitor for a short time in the input assignment when starting and then sending the IDs again (for example with the input selector).

This problem is also already reported in our Bugtracker: FS#4813 : Input Assignment / Softdesk: Cuelist Monitor leer bei Projekt laden

Changed the title of the thread from “Cuelists empty when loading a project” to “Cuelists monitor in softdek empty when loading a project”.
  • Hello,

Can you give some more information how to implement the workaround?
Do you program this in input assignment?

How to send a 0 to the monitor and then sending the ID's, do you use a timer or something?

How to setup that this is only performed at startup?

I solved this problem to everytime rename the projects to default project but to load a project make life a lot easier ;)

  • Hello...

the mentioned connection set at the input assignment for using the cuelist monitor is just added with the input selector, where at the input 1 is sent a 0, when the key R gives a 1 / True to the input selector. Otherwise, the default values will be rooted to the cuelist monitor, they comes from the cuelist group node.

The following example shows the connection set made with DMXControl 3.3.0.

I hope you get it in general.
