I have an ArtNet node with 2 ports. My plan is to use universe 2 to send triggers to DMXC and use these to start cuelists. So far I was able to add DMX In 2.1 as a connection set under a bank. I was also able to attach this trigger to the PLAY input of my cuelist in the graph view of input assignment (the table view does not seem to allow this).
Is this the right way or am I missing something? I can't seem to be able to start the cuelist.

Yes it's the right way. You can use the "Go" Input from the Cuelist Node to start the Cuelist.
You can also use the "Go To" input, to start a specific Cue in the Cuelist.

The problem seems to be that DMXC (looking at channel overview) doesn't pick up changes in the DMX input. ArtNetominator shows the change correctly. I've made sure DMXC send / receive is allowed through the firewall.
I've attached pictures of my ArtNet interface setup and my cuelist.

Please make a Screenshot from the "Advanced Interface Settings" in DMXC. I think there is the Problem...

My adapter is normally set to a wired connection, here it is WLAN. I tried setting 'Receive Universe 2' in Virtual Device 1 to the value 1 (universe 1 is the input port, universe 0 is output in my node).

You must enter under "Receive Universe 2" - 1 to receive the Data.
If you are using W-LAN with Art-Net PLS deactivate broadcasting. Most Acesspoints cannot deal with so much broadcast traffic...

I figured out, that the Art-Net signal sometimes need some more tries, that it will be send via WLAN. When it works, it works. But sometimes it is quiet difficult, bring them running. A cable connections works more easier and reliable.
But great, that it works also at your side from now.
