  • So I am writing some DDFs for my lights. One of them is American DJ Pocket Scan.

The problem I am having is probably more concept than anything else, but when I select an item in the drop down listbox, I want the slider to update too. Same goes for moving the slider, update the drop down listbox to match what the slider says.

I am currently using the same 'name' for the variable, for example, "gobos_gobo" will be used for both Drop-down and slider.
What I guess should be done is create two variables? "gobos_gobo_slider" and "gobos_gobo_dropdown" for example.

In those pieces of code - call the set_control function to set the opposite control and duplicate all the code that is needed to complete the task (some to think of it, set_channel is probably the only additional line needed).

Can someone confirm my theory before I write it in XML? Although I'll probably write it any how, it would be good to know what to expect.

    Thanks.

  • Hello Eddiie,
can you please post your xml code, so we can help you.

We just work on the english manual (in the Wiki),
unfortunately, all articles aren't ready yet.

    regards
    Uwe

    P.S.
Can you please write for witch program you
the DDF need. DMXControl 2.12 or DMXControl 3

  • Hi,
Uwe: I think he talks about DDFs for DMXC 2.12 because of the name-tag, he mentioned.

Eddiie: You can use a feature introduced in DMXC 2.11 I think. It is the "minvalue"- and "maxvalue"-tag of a dropdown-item. With this tags, you can specify the range of each dropdown-item. The dropdown will then select this item automaticaly without programming any procedures, when the DMX-value is in this value-block. But like Uwe said, just post your DDF here because with it, it is much easyer to help you.
    Regards
    JP

im Falle eines Falles klebt Gaffa einfach alles, denn Gaffa ist dein Freund und Helfer

  • Ah sorry. I do not follow directions well.
    :)

I figured this all out and now have a ddf or dff file and graphics too. it is cool. took many hours.

    What is this about DMXControl3??

    thank you all!
