Ah that was a typo in pasting the code. It was OK in the DDF.

Taking advice I opened in XMLNotepad and found errors, also see them in the Kernel window! Fixed.

Now the problem moves to inside DMXControl3, error window -

Device Manager -> Add Device -> Select my DDF ->
"There has been an Error when loading the DDF <file name>.xml:
There has to be at least one range / step with proper values set."

Honestly, I do not understand minval= and maxval= I typically do not include them and let DMXControl3 finger them out.
I've tried adding them and it does not help.

Is there a good working DDF with a Gobo shake that works I can use as another example?
Maybe I should try the DDF creator for this light.

I also cannot get the dimmer to work correctly. They put too many things on one channel..
Strobe, Dimmer, Shutter, other things can't use.

I cannot get this to work, please tell me what I am doing wrong. When removing the comment from the GoboShake area, the device will not appear in the Device Manger list.

Editing post screwed up the code, sorry - trying to fix it.

    Code

If I copy an existing DDF - Brightlight - Indigo 150, the device 'works', gobo buttons show up, how do I shake?

    :argh:

So, it dawned on me today that back in the good old Commodore days (anyone have one of those?) they had the C= 128 with 80 columns. That's right! 80 Columns man!

Anyway, the color signal it put out was RGBI ... I = Intensity. Certain model monitors accepted this Intensity signal and would lower color levels to make better colors. For example, Brown. RGB would make it dark Yellow. Monitors that accepted the Intensity signal would pull down the green level so that dark Yellow visually becomes Dark Brown.

    Here is a wiki link - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Color_Gra…an_RGBI_monitor

    Maybe that can help?? lol

    Hello!
When I write DDF's I have to use "stobo" as key word (?).. Any chance to get "strobe" to work too?

Not a big deal, if you happen to see it in the code while scrolling through it.

Also, any chance of "ColorIndex" and "ColorRotation" like GoboIndex and "GoboRotation"? I added it but nothing appear in Properties.

    Many thanks!

Can someone see an error in my XML?

The light will not add in Device Manager. No errors.

If I take colorwheel code out, it works. I cannot see what is wrong with colorwheel code.
