da ich keinen Download finden konnte, wollte ich mal fragen, ob es eig. eine Linux-Version von DMXC gibt, oder eine gute Lösung um es unter Linux zu betreiben.

DMXControl ist leider nur für Windows verfügbar. Das hat mehrere Gründe, unter anderem ist die Programmiersprache nicht wirklich zu Linux kompatibel. Daher wird es auch keine Portierung von DMXControl 2 geben. DMXControl 3 ist so ausgelegt, dass der Kernel im Prinzip (mit ein paar kleineren Modifikationen) auch unter Linux laufen kann, die DMXC 3 GUI ist aber ebenfalls nicht unter Linux lauffähig. Auch hier ist bis jetzt keine Portierung angedacht, da uns dazu unter anderem die Manpower fehlt (auch so dauert das Programmieren leider länger als gedacht). Daher wirst du wohl mit VMs arbeiten müssen, denn auch in einer Windows-VM kann DMXControl normal arbeiten.

OK, mir gings halt darum, dass ich nen relativ leistungsschwachen PC mit DMXC ausstatten will, und da viel meine wahl, um das system nicht von vorn herein zu belasten halt auf Linux...
Dann wirds halt doch XP werden^^Aber danke nochmal

Was meinst Du mit Leistungsschwach? Bei mir arbeitet DMXC auf alten Office-PCs von DELL - von der Baugröße schon fast Thin Clients - Problemlos.
