I've just installed the latest version of DMX Control 3.3.0. When launching the program, I am prompted by DMXCLauncher.exe that I must install missing frameworks for .NET. It asks me to download the necessary files. However, when I click yes to download, nothing happens. Is there a specific .NET version I need to install for this? The program doesn't indicate what files I need.
Missing .net framework

Hi and welcome in our forum,
the launcher uses .Net 6.0 Desktop Runtime. But this should be installed by the installer. Can you check, if this is installed? If it is not installed, you can try to download and install the .Net 6.0 Desktop Runtime from the following page: https://dotnet.microsoft.com/en-us/download/dotnet/6.0 Does it work after that?

My additional question is: was the computer where you try to install DMXControl 3.3.0 connected to the internet, when you start the installer?

Thank you. This worked. Following the link provided, downloading and installing SDK 6.0.428, the program launched without issue.

Ok, you would not have needed the full Software Development Kit (SDK). The runtime would have been sufficient enough. However, if it now works, then it is fine

I installed this program on another computer without issue. I must've run into an uncommon glitch. Glad to have found the fix first try.

I just installed DMX Control using DMXControl_3.3.1.1136_Setup.exe on Windows 10 and ran into the same issue, manually installing the above Dot NET SDK v6.0.428 fixed it for me.
Computer was definitely connected to the internet during install as I downloaded the optional 3D viewer. Might be a bug in the installer script?

Maybe the installer thinks, the installed versions of the frameworks are quite fine. So please follow the instructions in our just updated Wiki article Troubleshooting (General Information) DMXC3 regarding the point "Kernel and / or Umbra do not start".
