Dear, many ways to trigger with DMXC3:
- get signal from external MIDI: you can add virtual MIDI device (created by this tool for example: loopMIDI | Tobias Erichsen) and trigger cue when note on received for example,
- get beat signal with O2SL plugin
- use the timecode player: timecode player can be started by a MIDI signal in order to sync multiple softwares
Which software would you like to use to trigger DMXC3 cues ?

Software like ableton Live!
I generate LTC (linier time code) or MTC (midi time code) signal from Ableton and want it to clock with DMXC3 so i can Trigger my Cues on the right time.
if DMXC3 does not Support either LTC / MTC or Clock then how can we sync the audio and Lights Trigger on the right time!
No doubt DMXC3 is very Powerful Software only there are some very small things missing out to make it real user friendly.

I think that timecode is available in DMXC2 but not in version 3.
On my side, I'm using Cubase and to sync lights I'm sending MIDI notes to DMXC.
Another way to sync is the O2SL protocol that is available with DMXC3 plugin (you will need to check it during setup). O2SL send the beat signal and it can be linked to SpeedMaster. It sends position too and can help to trigger events when needed.
- With Cubase I'm sending a MIDI note to trigger the start of the Timecode show module
- With VirtualDJ for live performance I'm using the O2SL to get the beat signal

timecode is available in DMXC3 RC5.
i have searched a lot as DMXControl 3 supports scripting through Python and we have to script our own MIDI Clock handler.
otherwise we will receive MTC Signal and use it as input in Bome Translator (or any other relevant software to) to create MIDI Notes and patch it with DMX control 3 MIDI Input to trigger the Cues Accurately.
If we can make MIDI Clock handler for DMX control 3 it will be really easy For us to manage the artists Show who want to trigger cues from the stage on specific time of there output or we can sync lights, Sound and visuals coming out from Resolume ( or relevant software)
