  • I think I'm missing a concept or something. I have no trouble creating and running through cues in a cue list. However, If I notice something that is incorrect in a particular cue (like a color that I forget to change, or changed my mind about) and select "Edit--Edit in Programmer", go to the stage view and fix the problem, it looks to be fixed in the programmer, but does not get stored back into the cue. Same with a preset. Is there another button somewhere to permanently store the changes in the cue or preset? None of the buttons visible in the programmer appear to be anything like a "save changes" function. The only way I've found to correct a cue is to delete it and re-create it from scratch, a major hassle if it's a commonly used cue. (You know, like a preset that totally messes things up if you delete it...I've tried it)

    Approved the thread.
  • Hi and welcome in our forum :) ,

there are actually two ways to update cues in a cue list or a preset:

    1. In the side menu on the left side of DMXControl 3 there is the "Update" button. This button activates, if you edit an existing cue or preset in the programmer. However, we saw in some rare cases, that the GUI of DMXControl 3 could crash while using the Update button. We are still investigating this issue and try to fix it. In my last session with DMXControl 3.3.0 RC2, I had not any issues with that, but before.
    2. The slightly longer way (because there are 3 clicks instead of 1 with the Update button) but more save way is to append or replace the cue / the preset while it is loaded in the programmer. For that, you load it as usual in the programmer and then in the cuelist editor, you open the small dropdown beside the "Add" button. This will give you additional options to append or replace a cue. This option is also available in the preset window

I hope, this will help you to get this done much quicker :)
