Hi folks,
I have several LED-based fixtures with either RGBW or RGBAWU channels, and I've tried configuring the automix to "Add" or "Only" in the device properties, but I've noticed when I select colours which should use these LEDs, they remain on zero.
Are there any obvious reasons why this wouldn't work?

For checking the behaviour, please check the real output in the channel overview. The device control will not show the values because they are made „behind“ this.
For example: you have an RGB-spot and an RGBW-spot in the same device group, the RGB-spot would be dark, if you only turn on the white channel. That’s why, usually „only“ the RGB values will saved in a cue, where it doesn’t matter, which type of LED you are using.

in addition to Stefans answer: DMXControl 3 internally uses the RGB-Color (at least as the easy answer), because you can get every color out of it. The mixing behavior affects the way, the HAL generates the real channel values out of the three base values. However, sometimes, there are scenarios where you want to explicitly set a specific color of the fixture. Thats the reason, why there are those entries for the color channel in the color section of the device control. However, this overrides the automatic control of the HAL and there can be some issues transitioning from a HAL generated color to a explicitly set color by the color channel in the device control. The transition in the other direction can also be a little bit strange. But you can try it yourself
