DMXControl Convention 2019 - Special No. 1 - First time without any luggage

For members of DMXControl Projects e.V. there is normally a standard ritual on the eve of Ascension Day: Pack suitcases. Usually we all meet on the long Ascension weekend in a location somewhere in Germany and have our internal annual convention there. On the one hand, we have our annual general meeting, where club matters are discussed and voted on. On the other hand, the meeting serves as an opportunity for the teams (developers, marketing, IT infrastructure) to discuss larger blocks of topics and, in some cases, to implement /realize them right away.

That's how it should be this year and that's why we wanted to meet from tomorrow to Sunday in the Kinder- und Jugendhaus in Stuttgart-Vaihingen, Germany. But Corona thwarted these plans. Nevertheless, the annual general meeting and the discussions in the teams are still pending. Therefore, we are moving the annual meeting into virtual space, as already announced. So this time there will be no packing of suitcases, but at least the IT team will have to provide the necessary infrastructure.

Nevertheless, we also want to keep some traditions. So we will let you participate by documenting the current happenings at the (virtual) meetings in several Convention Special news. Tomorrow morning we will start reporting with an overview of the upcoming discussions and meetings. The obligatory livestream will also be back and will take place on Saturday evening at 8pm. So be curious about the coming days.
