Reactions are the new Likes
Mobile Quotations

This week is the week of releases and so we now have another release for you: The update of our forum. After we updated our forum to the latest version almost exactly two years ago (read it again here: Association News - 18_CW16 - Release of the new DMXControl Forum!) and thus the new look of the forum was introduced, it was time again for an update. This time many details in the user interface have been improved, of which we would like to introduce you to a few here.

Improved News Area

The news section has been significantly upgraded. The clearest sign of this is the new overview in the news section. News are now displayed in a modern tiled look and fully responsive, so this view adaptes to different screen widths. You will now have an even faster overview of all messages published by us. But it gets even better: The news section is now fully integrated into the notification system. So far you were informed that there is a new news, but you could not subscribe to news sections. Furthermore, you were not notified that there were comments on a news. So you had to regularly check all news. These problems are now finally fixed.

Reactions are the new Likes

If you want to express that you like a comment or news, there was the possibility to give a "Like"; since the last update. But it has not only been shown in our forum that the "like"; is not differentiated enough. The forum software we use has reacted to this problem and you now have several reaction options available. To react to a comment or news, you will now find a smiley button on the right side in the lower area of a post or news. If you click on it, you can choose between different reactions (see the picture below).

Mobile Quotations

Up to now it was very difficult to create a mobile quote. This was because after selecting a text area, the dialog for selecting a quote was not displayed in mobile browsers. This problem has now been fixed. This is only a small improvement. However, it supports the consistent usability of the forum via mobile devices.
