DMXControl fired by QLab?

  • I'm trying to find the best way of firing cues in DMXControl from QLab over the network. I've managed to set up a MIDI Input Assignment so that a MIDI command will "press" the GO button, which works fine but is a bit unsophisticated - I'll like to be able to specify which cue to fire.

OSC would seem to be the best way but my attempt to load the OSC Receiver plugin inside of 3.3.2 totally failed - it just didn't show up inside DMXControl (I created a Plugins folder in the DMXC program folder and put the dll in there, following some instructions I found - perhaps this was wrong).

Does anyone have any bright ideas?

    Many thanks.

  • You can Trigger single Cues in DMXC with a "fader" Input.

At the Input Assignment you connect the Fader Input to the "GoTo" Input from the Cuelist with a rule of three

    In Min 0

    In Max 1

    Out min 0

    Out Max 127

Now you can send with cuelab 0-127 to Trigger cue 1 thru 128

I Made a Video with the Software Sonar. The video is sadly in german.
