Recall / read bank values

    I have 4 midi encoders. I use the encoders to change parameter settings for several devices.
    To use the same encoders for different devices i use separate banks.
    The banks are (de)activated by a button.

    This works all fine. Except that the current values of the encoders are replaced by the original values when activating a bank.

    I would like to read the current values of the parameters in that bank. They are displayed in softdesk. After reading the values the values of encoders should be updated with the recalled values.
    Then activating the bank to make changes to the parameters.

    Is that possible?

    when you are talking you are using some encoders on a MIDI controller, I guess, these encoders are just some simple ones - I mean, they are not motorised, that they can set to an special value from "outside", right?

    When you have any controller (doesn't matter if it's a MIDI controller, a DMX console or controls in the Softdesk), they are not motorised, you have to some "magic" in the Input Assignment currently for getting the result you need. You have to compare the current value of the encoder or fader with the last set value on each bank or parameter master. Only when both values fits, you can set a new one. Otherwise you have to "collect" the last set value on that bank or of the parameter master with the encoder or fader. After the match, you can set the new value.

    For realising this, you need some different nodes inside a connection set for creating that king of logic. There is no single node, which handle this requirement currently.
