Way to copy Device Control Properties In Programmer To Another Fixture?

Say you have 3 devices. A - B - C.

Generic Dimmers.

I have Device Control on Dimmer A set to 100%

Then save that as a cue.

I then want to 'Edit Cue in Programmer'

Then Copy that same Device control to Dimmer C as it stands to save it to a different cue.

But it could be for any Device Control Parameter.

Is this possible in DMXControl?

Hi,

you can just copy&paste all device property values of one device to another device. Just select the "source device" in the Stage View and hit Ctrl + C. Then select the "target device" in the Stage View and hit Ctrl + V. Then DMXControl 3 copies all device property values for which the target device has device properties. To show that in an example: As a setup, the source has e.g. a Dimmer, a Color, a Position and a Prism property. The target has only Dimmer and Color. Now, we give the Dimmer and the Position a value. If we then copy&paste the values, only the Dimmer is copied because Color had no defined value and the others are not existing in the target device.

P.S.: We released DMXControl 3.3.0 this week. So you could now update to the final version of DMXControl 3.3.0

In addition: it’s doesn’t matter if you copy from a simple device to a device group or from a device group to a simple device. Both ways are also possible.
