Sample Theater shows ?

Hi and welcome in our forum,

there is currently no demo file for theater or play shows on our homepage. However, I have made some in the last years and there is a recent one which I can give you. There is no textbook in it (because it was in paper form) but with some additional information you may find it a decent basis for you further work. I can search for it this evening (German local time) and attach it here.

As requested here is the project. It is a youth music theater which we played at the end of last year. I use two screens with the main cuelist and the masters on my second screen. However, I placed them on the main screen in this project version so you can find if you only have one screen. We had some fixtures as our front light (Arris) and some LEDs on the side of them to shift the color (BACs). In addition there are some special cues where some actors play in the audience so there are two fixtures to address that (Dotz Par). Then we had the normal stage light (Stage Dimmer 1-6), six LED bars to illuminate the wall behind the stage as a kind of ambient lighting (with single pixel control to do some light effects) and 16 LEDs to illuminate the stage front wall as an additional ambient lighting because some acts were played in front of the normal stage.

To control everything, there is one giant cuelist, containing all cues for this play. As you can see, every cue is named with a mostly unique number representing the act, scene and an individual number followed by a text, which characterizes this specific cue. So for example "2.5.20: Kritikerin tritt im Restaurant auf" represents the second act, the 5th scene in total, it is the second scene in this act (number is base 10 in case we need to fit in additional cues between existing ones) and "Kritikerin tritt im Restaurant auf" or "the critic enters the restaurant" in English shows me, when I have to start the cue. This Name (number + Text) is also in our paper textbook, so we can match those entries with the cues in the cuelist. I also usually add some ambient lighting cues at the beginning and the end of every play when the audience enters / exits the venue.

We are planing to add such files to the download section. However, we have not added them yet because we are also planing to produce some videos in our let's build a project series on YouTube (currently only in German available). The demo files shall be the result of this series for a better comparability and understandability. Unfortunately, there are some major changes in the upcoming DMXControl 3.3.0 in comparison to DMXControl 3.2.3, especially in the music light show area. If we would produce some videos for this topic now, we can throw them away, once DMXControl 3.3.0 is released and produce new ones. That is the reason we have no such projects in the download area yet. But they are not forgotten
