DMXControl Convention 2022 - Special No. 6 - Good Bye and have a good trip home

We realized once again that four days are actually much too short for our annual meeting from many points of view. On the one hand, the days simply fly by, and on the other hand, there are still so many activities or simple topics left over that each of us would have liked to discuss with one or the other and thus fill more days. By the way, the same was true for the preparation for the meeting - it was there faster than each of us actually thought it would be.

On the other hand, we realize that we can no longer cope with such a meeting as easily as we did a few years ago. Because such an annual meeting always means - no matter whether live and in color or only two-dimensional in front of the PC: the evenings become very, very long and the nights accordingly short. That's why it's still nice to be back with the family in the end.

For today's Sunday, there were traditionally no further program items on the agenda - apart from the last joint breakfast, of course. Already before, but especially afterwards, the big "I'm packing my suitcase" and industrious moving of chairs and tables began. For the members, whose destination was the Braunschweig, Magdeburg and Brandenburg region, an early start was the order of the day. With travel times of seven to eight hours including breaks, the arrival time at home should of course not fall in the late evening. Those who came from the immediate vicinity helped accordingly with the rebuilding of the youth center, so that in the end we left it exactly as we found it on Thursday morning - apart, of course, from the billiard table, which was now fully working again. So, at about 1:30 p.m. the front door fell into the lock, finally ending the meeting.

All in all, this year's annual meeting was not only nice from the point of view of having a good time with all club members and friends and having a lot of interesting conversations. It was also from a productive point of view an annual meeting with lasting results. As already mentioned elsewhere, we will report on these in due course, if these results can be presented in a sustainable way. An important success experience concerns here however the Installer for the current beta version of DMXControl 3.3. We could close this long-running fire on today quasi briefly before gate conclusion now in to a large extent. A few minor optimizations will be implemented afterwards. So, our beta testers may look forward to a new version for testing, which contains the now in the meantime implemented adjustments for the lasting continuance of program components of DMXControl 3 and further error removals. Also, this progress we dedicate ourselves at the next opportunity in another news again in detail.

We hope you could get an impression with these specials again, how our annual meeting runs with us and had a little pleasure with the reports. This and the other articles will be supplemented with some pictures later on. Therefore, it is worth to have a look again in the next days.
