Spam protection on new users

Despite technical measures such as reCAPTCHA, in the past we have seen increasing numbers of spam due to newly registered users. Therefore, there is now a small change in our user permissions.

As the spambots and spam users become more creative, technical measures such as reCAPTCHA is not always enough to counteract this problem. We have therefore decided to make a small change in the user permissions of our forum.

From now on, just like guests, newly registered users can not write any topics or posts without them having to be activated by the moderator team before publication. Once this activation of the first posts has been done by a moderator, the corresponding user is automatically added to the user group "verified users". From this point on, this user can post comments, articles and topics without moderation as before.
