Error: Magic 3D Easy view Output plugin - No interface or invalid password

    I am trying to setup DMXControl together with Sunlite visualization. It is Acer Aspire One running Win XP Pro SP3 plus all avalaible upates including Java and .NET framework 2.0

    I have very stange issue with running Magic 3D EasyView when using Output plugin Sunlite (mevp.dll). I am sure that the dll path is right. I am able to run Magic 3D EasyView in demo mode with no problem. Also eg. MiniDMX output plugin is running ok.

    Just when I start DMXControl and when it should start loading visualization I get an error message:
    "No interface or invalid password." The strange thing is that I am able to run everything ok on two other computers, but just this one not.

    Any suggestion would be much appreciated.

    Did you try to use the "SunliteMEVP.out.dll" (in the DMXControl program directory) from the computers where it works on this one? Are the versions all the same across the computers? I can remember that there was a change some time ago.

    I tried "SunliteMEVP.out.dll" and I got Function call error. I used same (latest version of DMXControl and Sunlite May 2009 edition) on all the computers.

    Furthermore, I am running as computer administrator so I do not expect problems due to administrator's rights.

    Do you think this is a problem on Sunlite or DMXControl side?

    Hm, when the configuration is exactly the same, probably the programs are installed in different directories. But I can't imagine that this matters. Sorry, my knowledge ends here... :(

    how did you install Magic 3D? Have you installed it with DMXControl by stetting the check mark while installing DMXControl or did you download the Magic 3D from the Sunlite website?

    Hi Carlo,

    I tried both ways, but it is true that I tried many more times with downloaded Magic 3D. I just installed everything on another computer (fourth one). I downloaded DMXControl 2.10 then when asked I checked Dwonload Magic 3D, everything installed ok, but I got the same message: "No interface or invalid password".

    hm. strange.

    Maybe there is a problem with the english file path?
    Did you configure the SunliteMEVP.out.dll by klicking on:
    Settings-->Output plugins....-->marking Sunlite MEVP (Visualizer)--> pressing the "configure selected Plugin" button?
    Here you can set the location of the MEVP.dll .
    Maybe its not the right one for your system or you have installed it at another location. The default directory is "C:\SLMEV\MEVP.dll"
