  • Hello All,

I am trying to get an ArtNet connection where I can send data from DMX Control 3.3.2 to Lightjams DMX Recorder within the same PC. I have done this successfully with D-Pro outputting ArtNet on internal adapter 127.0.0.1

I am new to DMX Control 3, but I have set up my moving head lights and they are showing correctly in the Easy View visualizer.

Is there a way to configure the Artistic License, Art-Net 4 interface to send information to the internal adapter 127.0.0.1?

I opened the Easy View visualizer to receive on Art-Net instead of DMXControl 3 and it receives information from D-Pro on adapter 127.0.0.1 as well.

I attempted to look through the forum but couldn't find an entry for this particular question.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Kevin:)

  • After spending some time looking at the Art Net posts and watching the YouTube ArtNet video I have managed to solve my problem.

In DMXControl 3.3.2 when I open the Advanced Interface Settings for the Artistic License Art Net device the dialog box only shows (3) lines - Port - Force - Additional IP. I don't get the full list of choices as shown in the tutorial video on You Tube. I did download 3.3.2 again and reinstalled and got the same dialog box.

I completely uninstalled 3.3.2 and installed 3.3.1. Now I get the correct options in the Advanced Interface Settings box (Net, Subnet, Send Univ, etc). In the "Additional send to IP" field I typed in my internal Ethernet adapters address and now the Lightjams recorder sees the data from DMX Control on that address.

For now I will use 3.3.1 as that is working for my needs.

  • Hello Kevin,

with DMXControl 3.3.2 was a rebuilt of the Art-Net interface. This works now exactly according the Art-Net 4 Standard. That's why you see on the first view only the field called "Port address". This is related to Net, Subnet and DMX-Universum. But these values are also available if you don't know directly the Port address, when you extend the menu.

But by the way: you can select alternatively the "old" version of the Art-Net interface during the installation of DMXControl 3.3.2. So if you have any trouble with the new one, you can use the old version in DMXControl 3.3.2.
