  • Hi.

I've been testing out the software, and it seems to suite my every needs with lighting for theatre, which is great.

My wish for the next update would be the possibility to click on a channel and drag the mouse up and down (while keeping the button pressed) for direct control over the level (now you have to select a channel and then move the slider). Working with a large number of traditional lamps this would make programming much more efficiant, and I imagine this feature wouldn't require too many lines of code.

Other than that, thanks for a great app! Hopefully I will soon be able to connect it to my enttec pro (all thanks to Richard) and run it for real.

  • Hi!

As far as I know there are some more improvements for the theatre users in concept. But your wish is indeed new. I know this behaviour in some other programs (not in the lightning sector) and indeed it is very intuitive. Nice idea! I like it. And it even could be used to direct a moving light.

  • Hi,

I'm sorry that I have to disappoint you, but this feature is not new - Martin LightJockey uses it in exactly this way.
There you also can click a chanel e.g. at 20 % and this channel immediately has this level.

I already mailed a description of this feature to the DMXControl developers and they told me they will put it into the idea collection for DMXControl 3.0

I really hope they will go for it in the new version :) You are right - this makes programming much faster and much more efficient.
