Marten und Frank haben als Berliner Vertreter unseres Projektes ihren Heimvorteil genutzt und dieses Jahr die Veranstaltungsmesse Showtech 2025 besucht.
The marketing team has already provided many introductory aids for DMXControl 3 in the form of videos, “Did you know” articles and the wiki. Now there is another “private” initiative from Frank, as he once created a text script on DMXControl 3 for students (and with their help).
Today we would like to present the results of a student project that was developed at HTW Berlin: Unreal Engine - using the game engine from Epic Games to visualize a DMX-controlled show.
Here is a short report from the last show "Rocket Rhapsody" with the sound collective of the HTW in Berlin, where Frank was significantly involved in the lighting. Once again, the DMXControl group concept has proven itself very well. But we also have to point out a bug with the update button.
Frank recently had a gig in Berlin, even if he wasn't on stage himself. It was about the lighting of a classical concert of the Tonkollektiv of the HTW Berlin in the Emmauskirche to Berlin-Kreuzberg. Despite the simple lighting setup, there was a lot of applause for the musicians as well as some important insights. More about this in his short report.
When preparing an event, not everything always has to run smoothly, especially if you are not so experienced at it. Frank had to experience what such stumbling blocks can be at one of his last events. He has collected his experiences for you under the motto “failures, bad luck and mishaps - lessons learned”.
