Do you think about an english demo video or just a project with predefined devices and scenes?
For the second case, i think you could provide a project in the forum, if you want.
In addition we could offer it as a download on our webpage.

    Hi Julien

When I first downloaded DMX Control and installed it, although the program was in English all of the cues, scenes and chasers were in German, I gave up the first time because I just could not understand anything. I think if there was an actual download of the program with English cues, scenes and chasers people would not be as confused as I was. With software you normally only get one chance to 'hook' a user and I think this would be the best way.

This would also be easy to do and not take any extra work :)

......So if you have any ideas or questions that could help not german
speaking people using our platform, don't hesitate to ask and inform us.

I think one of the fastest ways to get non German users to start using the program would be to offer an download which includes an English language demo. I am happy for you to use my pack and go for this purpose if you wish.

    Hi there,

My name is Ron Uccellini and I work in the Engineering Industy, my background in in Electronics Design but I have also written some software in the past. My hobby is as a DJ, specialising in my own events with themed parties and big lightshows. This is where my interest in DMX Contol began. I was looking for some DMX control software to sequence DMX steps to music, DMX Control is the only free software available that can do this. There are other packages like light-o-rama and Venue Magic but these are costly and to be honest after trying out the demos, have some limitations.

I have started to translate the English DMX Contol WIKI, I don't speak German but to be honest don't see that as a problem, I have managed to figure out most of the software now so it's a matter of explaining the functions rather than translating words. I am quite used to 'technical writing' so I hope the documentation reads well.

If you have any comments on what I have done so far let me know, my goal is to work on a few of pages each week.

Thanks again to the software team for this great software. I hope the work I am doing on the manual will lead to more English speaking users trying the software.

    Regards
    Ron

    Regarding the copy

I go into Manage Scene Library

Then expand to the Composition Cues
Highlight one of the Composition Cues
Click the Copy Button on the right hand side
A duplicate of the highlighted cue will appear
If I now click edit and change the name to something else it will take the name change
However --- any changes to either the original cue or the new named one change both cues.

I hope this makes more sense.

A big thank you for this great software, I don't speak German so at first struggled a lot to work out what everything does but translating the user manual bit by bit in Google translate helped a lot.

I found one bug in copying the composition cues. When you do this it makes a copy of the one you had highlighted but with the same name, not with 'Copy of' at the start like other parts of the software. Even if you then change the name of this copied cue anything you change will be changed in the original cue and the coped one.

Other than that everything seems to work well with the functions I am using.

Many thanks for this software :)
