    Thanks for all the work that you have done with the driver. I know it takes a lot of time to do these things and is greatly appreciated by many of us.

    I don't know if this helps but you can select all 512 channels in Channel View in DMXC and when you move the slider you can see how it lags as it updates the window. With the OpenDMX driver it goes nice and fast so I am not sure if it is the driver itself or something else.

    Thanks again!

    I really wish I could use DMXControl with the Enttec pro but it looks
    like it is not going to work for me. That lag is just to much compared
    to using the Enttec OpenDMX driver which is nice and fast. The problem
    with my cheaper OpenDMX adapter is that it has some issues with some
    lights I use that freak out a little where the Enttec Pro adapter works
    perfectly. Other DMX software like Lightfactory and a few others work
    really smooth with the Enttec Pro adapter and current driver I have
    installed.

    What is the best DMX adapter to use with DMXControl? At this point I want to get an adapter that seems to work the best.

    I seem to be having the same problem even if I install the newer DLL. For example with my OPEN DMX adapter I can actually select 500 channels of DMX and they were dim smoothly and fine. If I try the same thing with my DMXKING adapter (which runs as an Enttec PRO) it very choppy. I have about 15 RGB flood lamps that I try and change color all at once, and you can actually see each one delayed after the other when they are suppose to switch.

    I have tried it on 2 different computers and get the same result.

    I have tried to understand what the "grouped" option is in effects that is above Intensity and Speed Boost controls.

    What does it do and why would you use it? Also is this tied to the "Execute only one chaser per group" option?

    I want to learn DMXControl inside and out and this is one of the things that I have no idea what it does.

    That makes sense Stefan and I thought it was something like that. The web interface software I am using to create the midi signals does allow you to sing a string of midi commands but when I send both of them it does not work and can not create a delay between them.

    Sending two commands got me thinking and I found another method that should always work and you don't have to make sure the effect is playing like I was doing before.

    What I did is create a 3 step effect like this

    Web Toggle
    Chasers->RGB Color Change -> Start (Duration Manual)
    Chasers->RGB Color Change -> Stop (Duration 0)
    Chasers -> Web Toggle -> Stop (Duration 0)

    And then I create two of the same MIDI Controls
    RGB Button -> Note On/OFF -> 1 -> 1 -> 0 -> 1
    That will trigger) Chasers -> Web Toggle -> Start
    RGB Button -> Note On/OFF -> 1 -> 1 -> 0 -> 1
    That will trigger) Chasers -> Web Toggle -> Next Step

    And it works perfectly! So if the effect is stopped, it will start it and it will also send the next command so if the effect is currently playing it will go to the next step which stops itself.

    Thanks for the info and I will have to look into some of those things.

    I may be working on a project where people can control a Christmas display while they are standing in front of it. Change the color of trees and have it do effects, etc. To make it easy I need it to be a simple web page that people can go to on their smart phones and press little icons to interact with the display.

    Thanks for the welcome and very glad I ran across DMXControl. You can do some amazing stuff with it once you understand how it works. For a while there I was completely lost but just had to take the time to understand it and now see the power behind it. Funny how people all across the world of heard of the Christmas display! I have had a few videos go viral and amazed how far it has spread.

    I was using version 2.10 and thought that was the latest version until yesterday when I thought a newer version might be out there because people were talking about things that were not in the version I was using. I was pleased to find the 2.11 version on the German download page. It might be a good idea to place the 2.11 version on the English page. I was really excited that you can now control the volume with 2.11 which was something I was fighting with in 2.10

    After loading up version 2.11 it actually fixed my waveform problem! That was with a small file and I will go ahead and download your files and give it test.

    I have seen this problem before with other lighting programs and usually converting it a Wav file fixes it.

    Good Idea Dennis! I thought about creating an effect that starts the other effects but did not know you could start it in start up. I will give that a try. What I am doing is creating a webpage where you can turn effects off and on and using a program that sends Web input to midi and then using a virtual driver that sends the midi to DMXControl. This way I can make a page that displays on an iphone and you can press buttons on the phone to control DMXControl.

    I have tried versions 2.10 and 2.11 of DMXControl and could never get the winamp AVS to work. I noticed in 2.11 that the AVS support for the Sound Analyzer was dropped so now you can only use Winamp VBlink. The beatTool still has the WinAMP AVS Plugin but I could never get it to work. I was able to get the AVS plug in with DMXControl support working in 2.10 with the Sound Analyzer but the beattool Winamp would never work.

    Running Windows 7 64bit and was wondering if anybody has been able to get this to work with this OS.

    Anybody using any other methods to sync DMXControl to a beat? I was thinking I could use MIDI to send the beat and have it advance to the next step in the effects/chasers tool. I can't find a decent simple plugin that will take an audio input and send midi commands.

    Here is a video of me trying to get the AVS with the beattool to work.

    I am having a problem with the waveform not synced to the audio in Audioplayer. The longer into the audio file it play, the more off sync it gets. Anybody else have this issue? Because of this I have to just listen to the audio instead of looking at the waveform.

    See this video for an example.

    I have tried mp3 and wav at different settings and it seems to do the same thing.

    I have been playing with DMXControl for a few weeks now and really impressed with what you can do. At this time I have having some problems trying to get MIDI to control DMXControl correctly.

    I have been able to mostly get DMXControl to respond to basic MIDI commands but having a problem triggering a START/STOP command to an effect.

    For example in Command Box I am able to make a button by Selecting EFFECT/DEVICE/Start/STOP TOGGLE ON. I can push the button in the Command box and the effect will turn OFF and ON.

    I can not make this same command work in the MIDI remote box. Sending a Midi Command of 1/1/1 (Midi Channel/Address/Value) using the same command as above will START the effect but sending it again will not STOP it. It does not matter if the toggle flag is ON or OFF.

    To turn the EFFECT OFF I have to send a Midi Command of 1/1/0 (Midi Channel/Address/Value which means i have to send two different MIDI commands depending if I want it ON or OFF. What I want to do is create a single MIDI command that will toggle the EFFECT to START and STOP, just like I can do with a button in Command Box.

    To get around this problem what I am having to do is create a new effect that has two Steps with the first Step Starting the effect and the second step stopping the effect. I then configure both steps to "Manual" and then use a midi command to just step to the next step and the effect is on repeat. This is kind of pain to do it this way and you have to make sure the effect is running.

    Any help would be appreciated to somehow send one MIDI command and have it toggle START/STOP on an effect.

    Thanks.
