Schreiben Artnet auf das Gerät, aber halten sich nicht an Spezifikationen.

Moin Ulrich,
Ist es möglich die Node-Firmware zu erweitern.
Ich würde ihn gerne als DMX/RDM Debug-Tool verwenden.
Folgendes stelle ich mir vor.
Ich klemme Den Node ans ende der DMX-Linie. Der Node soll nur als empfänger agieren, und nix selber auf den Bus senden.
Alle Packete die auf den Bus gelegt werden soll der Node per Art-Net 4 an mein PC gesendet werden.
Dabei soll der Node mittels StartByte aber auch zwischen DMX, RDM und Not-Zero-StartCode (Nzs) unterscheiden und die entsprechenden
ArtDmx, ArtRdm & ArtNzs packete an meinen PC Senden.
Kannst du dir vorstellen die Firmware um diese funktion zu erweitern?
Wofür benötige ich das:
Ich möchte damit Firmware-Update übertragungen und undokumentierte RDM-Parameter von verschiedenen Herstellern Reverse-Engineeren.
Und auch Fehleranalysen würde dies viel einfacher ermöglichen. Weil ich so alle Packete die auf dem Bus gesendet werden mittels Wireshark analysieren kann. -

After enabling Artnet for 2 min. please save the Whireshark-Capturing and attach it here
Its mostly because the Art-Net nodes are to old or to cheap to heave a propper ArtNet implementation
In that case the handshake of DMXC and the Nodes is not working and no Data whold be send.
If you provide the Whireshark FIle i can take a look at it -
Even you only Output ArtNet, under the hood Artnet is talking bidirectional with the Nodes.
This is nesseccery to fina all Nodes and send only the Universe each node needs as Unicast.
This behavior is required as Spec.
"Force broadcast" and "Additional Send to IP (optional)" is only nesseccery if you have stupid, old or buggy Nodes which are not using ArtNet4 Spec.
But "Force broadcast" is dangerus because shity Nodes are not capable of extensiv messages with Data they dont need due to missing RAM, but have to parse the Data to evaluate if the data is intended for him self -

So es gibt mehrere dinge die wir probieren können.
FirmwareUpdate auf 1.2 (wir haben die Datei dafür)
oder du spielst mal BetaTester für das "All New" unveröffentlichte neue ArtNet-Pluginletzteres hab ich gegen dein Interface dank ders Wireshark-Dumbs testen können.

In ProjectExplorrer navigate to TimecodeShows, then right click on a TimcodeShow to oppen the Settings for it. There you can set the Latnency for each TimecodeShow

Ein weiterer weg wäre die TimecodeShows auf executoren legen. Doese kannst du dann auch für start stop Pause verwenden und anzeigen der position verwenden

Wenn du den weg über profile gehst und das Profil im softdesks den streamdecks zuordnest meine ich, sollte das besser performen

The Library is Artent 4 its not nesseccery to specify any IP-Adresses.
Your Artnet-Interfaces have to send ArtPollReplys on ArtPoll.It the Interface is Matching Net and Adresse (Equal to PortAddress) the Library start to Comunicate with the interface

This is to much Text i dont understand.
First the Library is still in pre Beta, so there is no Docs or anything.You need only one Artnet-Instance
What du you want to do with the Library?
Send DMX or Receive?
On which Port-Addresses do you want to do stuff?The Lib is ArtNet4 so there is only Data Send if your Receiving Interfaces do reply on ArtPollReply and there is a matching Config.
Provide me a with SourceCode and Whireshark dump to se whats going on.

Aktuell bekomme ich executoren und da nur ob der Button gedrückt ist und wie der fader steht. Was aktuell fehlt sind Infos über Cuelist Name / status, Speedwert, timecode....
Marcos finde ich persönlich ziemlich umständlich und zeitaufwändig zu bearbeiten.
Schön, das dir Macros persönlich nicht gefallen, aber dank denen kann mann erstmal Alles steuern und anzeigen lassen das nicht Nativ Unterstützt wird und ist somit ein Quick-Win.
deluxe^2 vielleicht kannst du hier starthilfe geben, da ich Companion nicht benutze
