Hello,
I have ficture (laser) with some channels like this:
Channel X: Horizontal movement: 0 no effect; 1-167 (fixed) movement; 168-188 animated movement left to right with increasing speed; 189-209 do. Right to left; 210-255 do. left to right and back.
To avoid jumping out of 1-167 range when controlling manual movement with e.g. slider, I made ddf with limit on channel (ch:X;minvalue:1;maxvalue: 167;name:HZ;fade:yes;type:pan). Everything works fine when I control ficture with joystick (smooth fade in limits). But channel value is “jumping” when I try to control channel with midi controller. There’s some kind of wrong calculation from midi channel interval to limited dmx channel interval. By the way not limited channels do not have such issue.
One more issue: limited channels also seem not to work well in scenes/effects. Channel values are unpredictable (jumps, stops etc.) with scenes on limited channel and works perfectly on normal channel with the same scenes.
Is it because of the bug in software? My approach is wrong? Maybe there is some workaround to solve issue?
Thanks in advance.
Best regards,
Zygis
