I have an old version of lightjokey 2.95.1 and I'm experiencing troubles with 16 bit pan/offset on fixtures. On DMX output it looks it works correctly, when LSB reaches 255 then an increment means +1 to MSB and 0 to LSB, as it should be, but in reality the MSB is affected when value overcomes 192 (if I remember right). I guess it's a bug of the program, or it can be the fixture firmware, or maybe the USB to DMX adapter. I would like to test with another software, but I'm not sure DMXControl support this adapter. What do you think?
Can you suggest any other way? FOr example a simple dmx vale editor that can work with this adapter, can be good!

Can I kindly ask for a cue/sequence working with DMXC3 for Beamer? Someone can kindly share it with me? ) I can create it but I don't have the experience yet to create an impressive sequence. It's useful for me to evaluate the buy a new videoprojector, thanks!

thank you for kind reply, would you like to be in touch with James? He's really helpful and active person, he got lot of experience with compatibility and different formats of .ILD (believe me, he faced really lot of issues trying to provide a wide compatibility, as .ild differs a lot from versions and laser producers who built them, he worked for years in develpment about that), plus he's soft is written for Win and Raspb, like beamertool. Chances are you may save lot of efforts and bug fixing if you will agree for mutual support, I really hope for that He already replied to my invitation,

it works thanks, there were some issues but I overcomes them. In dmxc3 there is no beamertool fixture, or I can't see it after copying the XML, solutions? I manually moved sliders between channels by dmx output, it looks there is no way to turn automatically a texture. There are available some cues for dmxc3 about beamer? So I can test them. Thank you a lot!
I opened a topic about .ild file support, laser oh has already developed it for windows and raspberry, luckily it may be easy to integrate.

If there is already support for .ILD files in Beamertool (for example for Raspberry Pi) then sorry, feel free to close the thread.
If it is not the proper section to discuss about it feel free to move the thread somewhere else

I consider this format (.ild) really powerful and needed, since there are already lot of effects available in this format. I think Laserboy has already developed a good support for this format in all the version variants, maybe it is possible to take advance of their work to implement in Beamertool.

Maybe there is already a utility to convert a .ild into a video and display it in Beamertool, but I would consider to give support to .ild files which may mean a faster load, and better accuracy and edit of some parameters (amplitude tune, colours edit, etc.)

Hopefully Scyte will help, he maybe already developed something, I just need to open the RAM page of a particular application and read ar certain value.. then trasmit it by Artnet..

Thank you a lot! Ok I'm trying, many difficulties, Believe me I'm not bad with Windows.. but I've never experienced so many troubles in different parts.
Let's start from beginning:
I start DMXC2, in output plugins I lod them as "administrator", then I select Artnet and configure it, the broadcast address is empty and after I insert 255.255.255.255 every time I open it still empty, doesn't accept the value. On the Output section there is empty, also pressing scan I can't see any interface, it's blank, no errors. It was working one week ago, I uninstallaed and installed the program again but it's not working more. See artnet image.

I also have problems with some errors in dll, check the image please.

I also can't figure out how to add the beamertool fixture, I cannot find a menu entry where I can add a fixture, and I can't also see any "sheet" where I can place/install the fixture. In DMXC3 no problem with that, here looks to me impossible. I would like to use the Beamertool fixture, should I copy any file from beamertool somewhere? You told also about a plugin, you refer abut Artnet or there is a specific plugin from beamertool to copy/implement in DMXC2?
In alternative I would use any fixture who let me send on artnet some falues, it doesn't matter, I would see something in beamertool.

When I solve this big issues with DMXC2 I hope I'll succeed with beamertool, config file and so on.

Ok I'm running beamertool in another pc, he opens there correctly 6454, I charge inside a texture by beamerclient, on other pc im'm writing values into Artnet. I'm veryfy them, all correct, it should broadcast them, i also tried to change subnet and universe in different combinations. Beamertool doesn't react at all, new or old version the same.
I can't press "i" on beamertool to see if receive packets because it crash, so i don't know if it can catch them
I tried everything, rally, I don't know what to do, i've lost hours around that.

What I'm writing is a post wrote one hour ago and something went wrong when I sent it. I report it, now I got that all the efforts are useless, would knew it before.. why beamertool has artnet if it doesn't work? Mistery

I'll use linux too.. but need to try the projector before, if we'll decide to buy projector instead of laser then yes I'll buy a Raspberry too

Even today I tried, considering all the possible obstacles. really challanging but not that enthusiastic.. to be sure I added beamertool to firewall, both old and new version. Closed The Artnominator to avoid conflics on listening ports, tried use the LAN IP and 127.0.0.1.. no results yet.
I'm using also beamerclient supposind I've to load a texture before drive it with dmx, I see it but it's not moving.
I see in listening ports that new beamertool using the UDP 12000 *while old the 12000 tcp (???) and the DMXC is outputting at 6454, but I can' change it to 12000 to try it.. very strange here..
6454 is used by lumox, maybe because of this? why it uses it, I didn't enabled DMX in

I don't mind now about the particular fixture, I mind about see something on Beamertool window. I made a lot of experiments and I've never see something.
I'm using loopback 127.0.0.1 before having any other issues with real network, Im using DMXC3 with a casual fixture, I check the output with The Art Netominator and there is traffic, according exactly what I cange in the fixture.
I've about 11 channel in this fixture and I moved them all from 0 to 255, I didn't see any activity, yes universe 0, net0, channel1, I think all is right here, and the beamertool has the same.

I launch only beamertool, should I run other software too?
WHat about the plugin for DMXC2, what sense it has if I'm already sending Artnet?
Maybe should I change any xml into the beamertool folders?

I also don't understsand where to put the IP address, if there is one to put.. neither on DMXC and Beamertool there is a field. How can they communicate together?

ok I got that beamertool is just a projector driver, and need to be proper driven by Artnet, so I need the DMXC and address the DMX values. I installed DMXC 3 but wow.. no tutorial how to use this app I didn't find.
I think I need to create the fixture first and address it to the proper Artnet address.. it looks not easy, I didn't find beamertool in the list of devices, I see in the beamertool zip there are some files, but where to place? I tried inventing something, I put the xml under kernel\devices, then reload the DMXC but it didn't recognize it. Help!

Then once I fixed the fixture, how can I create a cue/sequence to give some DMX commands?

I followed it, it looks I need an Artnet to drive it, the Beamerclient can't help right?
I've a Lightjockey consolle 2.95, I would use it to drive Beamertool, but I need an adaptation RAM->Artnet since LJ doesn't support Artnet output. Here is the topic, I'm waiting for a reply from Scyte:

There is any plan to load .ild files? There are plenty of .ild laser effects ready, it would be great to visualize them!

There are some projects around about .ild visualizer, if you may interface with them half of work could ever done already

I made it works, I loaded some images in avi in beamerclient, but it doesn't produce any animation with play button, I can see animation only with fader (from A to B)
