    Hello, my findings from today:

    Try to:
    1.
    - Set custom color list 'rainbow'
    - set fixture with a matrix of 1x8 the effect of color scroll
    - change speed to 0.5 hz
    - change fade to true
    - change color list to 'rainbow'
    2.
    - save as preset
    3.
    - reset fixtures to 0/all off
    4.
    - 'apply' saved preset but settings: speed and fade have not been saved!
    5.
    - try 1. above and save in cue, then set all to 0 and bump the cue. same effect - the above settings are not saved in the cue.

    Exception:

create the effect and save as custom effect. Only works if you drag and drop the effect back to the matrix of the current fixture. It will not work from cues, programmer or presets.

programmer does not recognise color scroll settings above. no square[brackets] of effects, as with other effects.

However, it is better than BETA 4/5 where the color list was not saved for the 'color scroll' effect. it now saves that.

Please post if you can reproduce, and/or any workarounds. I would like to set a static timed display.

    Hello/Hallo!

Feature suggestion: Ability to use scroll wheel to adjust Intensity of a fixture, after selecting it.

Idea: Select fixture, click Intensity scroll bar, then use the mouse wheel to rapidly get to the target value. NOTE: some scroll wheels don't have the 'bump' in them i.e. Mac mouse. Some can be fine controlled :). A lot of mice in Windows seem to do a 3 line scroll rather than Mac ones which have a finer control. Maybe others have fine control too, but they are the only ones I have used.

Hows about a setting also for how sensitive the mouse wheel is? - experimental i would guess with many different scroll wheel types.

I hope this is a good idea - it would link the old 'golf ball' wheels of the consoles with mouse wheel of the PCs.

    Hello/Hallo,

Example: Server backstage with uDMX and artnet-node / uDMX node software. DMXControl 3 Kernel as windows service.

Any GUI client can connect, with the same configuration still running.

Also, ability for the Kernel to load a file upon start would be nice. especially as a service. So keep a config file server side.

This would work well for rtc timed environments. Windows service set to recover if crashed.

Note: otherwise, the server will have to have an auto-login user with DMXkernel as startup item and maybe a security risk.

Any followers on this one? Possibility of an embedded kernel device!

    Hello,

I just bought 2x COLORrails. I downloaded DMXControl yesterday and saw there is no DDF in the beta. So here is roughly-made DDF for it I have just finished.

The kernel console window is very handy for debugging DDF files 8) .

I hope this helps. I will try to make DDF for other modes too and post here.
