Any update on this problem?

Is there any update on this or can anyone else confirm whether they have problems with the Enttec pro plugin . or is it just me?

Show starts tonight and there's a loose wire on the KMTronic's fixed-in DMX lead (!!) so I either have to carry on and dare not move the unit (aargh!), get out the soldering iron and fix/break it or re-setup the cues in Freestyler so I can use my other DMX interface.

No pressure!

I haven't received it yet - it's due to arrive late next week.

Edit: 8th June. KMTronic (Enttec OpenDMX) interface has just arrived. I plugged it in and it worked immediately so there does seem to be an issue with the Enttec Pro driver.

My plan was to have one DMX interface as a spare in case the main one failed during a performance, and I wanted different two different makes just in case one type didn't work with some fittings.

Any thoughts on this or anything I can try to help with debugging?

Is there any update on this problem? I have just started to work with DMX-controlled lighting (I'm usually doing sound) and I can't get DMXControl to run on my Windows 7 64-bit machine. Every time I try and select the Enttec Pro plugin, the app crashes and Windows closes it.

I have tried installing again and also changing virtual com port (tried 1 3 and 6). As I have a tight deadline I have ordered an Enttec Open USB interface to try it and I'm setting up in Freestyler as a fall-back (which 'just worked' first time), but it's frustrating not to be able to start learning the app when there's a stage show in 3 weeks (lighting man has fallen ill and I was volunteered to take over!)

If I try and configure the Enttec Pro plugin, the app goes quiet for a few seconds and then gets closed. If I select the plugin, up pops a window saying "Error during activation of plugin 'Enttec Pro DMX driver' Error -2147417848 method '~''of object '~' failed. Try again?"

Any help appreciated.
