Electricity Parameters

  • Hello again Everyone!

I was trying to experiment with the Electricity Parameters and Input Assignment Nodes.

I have a few questions, but to start, is there a way to change the Power-Source Voltage from 230 to 120 for American Standards?

Also, what is the "Send to Ammeter" option for? Is this a placeholder right now?

Also, in the electricity Input Assignment Nodes, What is "Ping" input?

Thank you in advance for any help or insight! :)

  • Good morning!

I hope, I can answer your question so far well - especially the second and third one I am not quite sure because I didn’t use the electricity feature so recently and I also didn’t write something about them for our Wiki.

is there a way to change the Power-Source Voltage from 230 to 120 for American Standards?

For the moment, there is no option available. So the calculation is based on the 230V-System.

Also, what is the "Send to Ammeter" option for?

Here I am not quite sure, what you mean. But there is a separate window with the name electricity, where you can see the value for each circuit you create.

Also, in the electricity Input Assignment Nodes, What is "Ping" input?

In the Input Assignment, you can use them your lighting a signal lamp on a Softdesk, when there is a overload.

If you have some further questions, please ask. :)

  • from 230 to 120 for American Standards?

A workaround somehow is to not use the Amperes display but the Watts display - just double click the ampere meter and it will turn to a watts meter. Sadly you will have to do this every session, as this switch isn't saved.
So you can double the possible amps for your source and get the correct watts scaling (for overload)

Hmmm ok, we forgot that :saint: Could you please add a ticket in our bugtracker, that we add different Voltage options to this feature?
