DMXControl-Signalfluss

As part of a course on “Lighting technology with DMX”, Frank started a text script for the participants at the time as an introduction to DMXControl 3, because some people kept having questions and problems understanding certain concepts (programmer, tracking, cuelist groups, release time, etc.). This script is far from being “finished”, on the other hand there is already some work in it that should not end up in the trash. Therefore, Frank has decided to make this script in its current state available to the DMXControl community under an open license.

This is not (yet) an official club publication. We just want to test what the response from you is like. Maybe nobody reads books these days because there are great videos on DMXControl 3 and an extensive wiki. Maybe there are users who would like to read the script to get started in order to avoid problems for beginners when using DMXControl 3. Maybe there are even people in the community who would like to improve and add to the script together with Frank (if so, please get in touch via any channel).

We simply don't know what the reaction will be and have no plans for this in the marketing team. So we'll see what and if anything happens with the script in the future.

The text script is written in Asciidoc and is available on GitHub at https://github.com/DMXControl/DMXC3Stories

If you click on the file “Book.md” under this link, you can view the individual chapters (some of which are still in draft form) directly online in preview. From time to time, a pdf version is also generated offline, which can be found in the /pdf subdirectory.

We are curious to see if and how things will continue here.
