Association News - 22_CW07 - Spot on: new streaming content?

Until recently, we had actually moved in our livestreams in two focal points: Implement new features in the context of our "Live Coding with Arne" and present new features in the context of our Christmas livestreams or the other preview and release shows. Often there was the possibility in all formats to report a little bit about the club life on the one hand and on the other hand to be available for questions around DMXControl 3.

In the last weeks and also in preparation for our last two Livestreams the idea matured with us so slowly but steadily whether we should not set further purposeful main topics in the context of our coming Livestreams. During brainstorming, the following topics came to the fore:

  • Remote Device Managament: What is that? What is the technical structure of RDM? Which requirements are needed to be able to use RDM? What are the advantages of RDM? What do I have to pay attention to?
  • Effects in effects in effects: How flexible is the Circle effect? From our experience, which effects look quite nice? What happens when you combine several effects? How do you build more complex effects using board tools?
  • Macro Board Special: What are Macro Boards? How do the Macro Board profile in DMXControl 3 help me? How do I build a universal programming interface for my Stream Deck?
  • DDF programming without DDFCreator: How can I quickly create a DDF for DMXControl 3 even as a beginner if I don't have the DDFCreator at hand? How do I transfer the information from the manual into the XML schema? Which stumbling blocks are there?

Our goal is that you always take something from our livestreams for your work with DMXControl. Therefore, we do not want to determine the content of our next livestream ourselves but pass this question on to you. For this purpose, we have prepared a small survey, which is unlocked until 27.02.2022 at 18:00. You are also welcomed to submit your own suggestions, which we will include in the next round of the survey after reviewing their feasibility. Depending on the result we will then also consider a date.

The link directly to the survey: https://dmxc.org/livestream-umfrage. Please note, however, that the survey may not be fully completed with the mobile version of Firefox. Therefore, use the desktop version of Firefox or browsers such as Safari or Chrome on your smartphone as an alternative at this point.

We are looking forward to your feedback!
