Last year we wanted to make up for our traditional meeting later "live and in color". But the signs were so bad that we decided to hold the meeting online again, so that webcams and routers were running hot. So, we came together at least in 2D.
For this year we follow a similar strategy. On Ascension Day, a real meeting was not yet possible, so we already agreed on a backup date in spring. This time, however, this date is clearly earlier in the calendar, namely from 30.07. to 02.08.2021. As venue we chose the Werk- und Kulturscheune in Loitsche near Magdeburg. Fortunately, the infection figures have developed so positively in recent weeks that nothing stands in the way of our meeting from this side, but also based on the currently valid Corona protection ordinance of the district and the state of Saxony-Anhalt. Until then, however, we will have to observe the situation and then react at short notice if necessary.
An important item on the agenda of this second meeting is our annual general meeting. The term of office of the current executive committee leans to the end and accordingly after four years again elections stand to the 1. and 2. chairman, the secretary, and the cashier. The invitation for this received all members already before a few weeks. Other points of the program are again discussions within the teams, but also in the large round. Regardless of this, however, the overall joy should prevail that the entire team sees itself again in 3D after more than two years, albeit under the regulations still in force. Therefore, for the moment, we can only keep our fingers crossed that the situation does not drift into the negative in the short term.
